Embossing on Patterned Paper | SSS July 2019 Card Kit

Hey friends! Have you seen the Simon Says Stamp July card kit? I am in love. I especially love that gorgeous patterned paper from Honey Bee Stamps! Today I wanted to share with y’all what I made using this kit.

I started by stamping the honeycomb shapes from the stamp set onto one of the piece of patterned paper with Versamark ink. I embossed that with rose gold embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp. I then took that same embossing powder and embossed the heart shaped bee trail from the set onto some vellum.

For my sentiment I decided to emboss a stamp one Gina K Designs In The Navy cardstock with Alabaster white embossing powder. I cut the sentiment into a strip and I fussy cut out my vellum heart. I popped up the sentiment onto the heart with foam tape and then glued the whole thing to my background.

I mounted the background panel onto a piece of vellum and then popped up that entire thing onto an A2 size card base. To add some interest to the card I used Glossy Accents and added some dots to some of the honeycomb spots in the background. I sprinkled Unicorn Dust glitter over the card and it stuck to anywhere where I had that Glossy Accents.

For the finishing touches I first went over the sentiment with Wink of Stella glitter. I then added a heart sticker to the sentiment and some Moonshine sequins to the background.

Happy BEEday Release Blog Hop | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Today is Honey Bee Stamps first day of a two day blog hop celebrating their Happy BEEday Release. This release is particularly exciting because Honey Bee Stamps is also celebrating their 4th birthday! So make sure to head over to their blog to find out more about the whole celebration!

I created a card featuring the Chicken Coop die set, the Spring Chicks stamps and dies, and the Eggcelent Sentiments stamps and dies.

I stamped a bunch of the images from the Spring Chicks stamp set onto some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I then colored those in with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Next I took the Chicken Coop die set and cut the large section of the coop out of dark blue cardstock. I cut the scalloped roof die from some dark gray cardstock and the hay pile from some yellow cardstock. I popped up the larger piece onto a piece of dark gray cardstock and glued the rood and hay on with liquid glue.

I arranged the little chicks that I colored in inside the coop and glued them down. I also added one chick in the middle of the doorway and placed the cracked egg shell over his head. I stamped a sentiment from the Eggcelent Sentiments set on white cardstock with black ink. I used the coordinating die set to cut that sentiment out and I popped it up on the top of the chicken coop.

To finish up the card I created a 5 x 5 card base and then popped up a 4.25 x 4.25 piece of light gray cardstock on top of that. I then glued the entire chicken coop scene onto that. Finally, I used Wink of Stella to add some glitter to the egg shell and the sentiment.
