So, to start this card I stamped the large pumpkin from the Jack-o-Lantern stamp set onto Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I painted the pumpkin using Prima watercolors. I used a dry painting technique where I would load up my brush with color and paint onto the dry paper. I would add the paint only where I wanted the color to be the darkest and then I would clean off the brush. Using clean water I would then drag out the color on the paper from the area I added the color. The further I dragged out the paint, the lighter the color would get.

For the background I used my Prima watercolors as well, but I also added in a few colors from my Gansai Tambi watercolor set. I started out really light on the background and worked on deepening up the color with lots of layers.

When the painting was finished I cut the panel to 5.75 x 5.75 and popped it up on a 6 x 6 card base with foam tape. I used a white pencil and white gel pen to add glowing lights to the background. I also used the white pencil for some highlights on the pumpkin. I used a dark blue colored pencil to deepen up some of the shading.

For the sentiment I picked out the stamp which says “Happy Halloween” and embossed it in white onto Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock. I cut it down into two strips and popped them up on the card. To finish the card I went over the sentiment with my Wink of Stella glitter brush.

This stamp set is perfect for little dancers. My daughter absolutely loves dancing, so I can see myself using this a lot in the future! I started by stamping the three little girls onto some Archers Cold Press watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. I then watercolored the images with a combonation of Prima watercolors and Gansai Tambi watercolors.

1.jpg

Once the paint was dry I added details to the image with Prisnacolor pencils. I also used a white gel pen to add dots to the dress on the girl in the center. I thought the yellow dress could use some sparkle, so I took a gold paint marker and added some dots to the tu-tu and the frill on the front.

I picked one of the sentiments from the set and stamped it on the painting with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then popped the panel up onto a plum colored card base with foam tape and added a few sequins.

Watercolor Father's Day Card | Colorado Craft Company

Today I am excited to be revealing one of the awesome new sets from Colorado Craft Company’s Lovely Legs series. There are three new sets in the collection and I created a card using the Chillin and Grilling stamp set.

Be sure to check below to see how you can win all three of the new stamp sets!

1.jpg

I stamped the large image in the stamp set onto Canson watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. I then painted the image using Prima watercolors. After painting I added in some details using colored pencils.

3.jpg

I trimmed the painted image down using my Tonic Trimmer. I then cut a frame out of black cardstock using my Hero Arts nested rectangles die set. I glued the frame on the painted panel.

2.jpg

Next I took a piece of black cardstock and taped the Diagonal Stripe stencil from Simon Says Stamp over it. I blended over the stencil with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. This creates a nice, subtle background for my card. I adhered the panel to an A2 size card base.

I took the painted panel and popped it up on the card with foam tape. I decided not to add a sentiment to the front of the card and instead stamped one inside.

No-line Coloring Get Well Card | Colorado Craft Company

Hello my crafty friends! Today I am sharing a no-line coloring card featuring a stamp set from Colorado Craft Company!

1.jpg

I stamped the large image from the Get Well stamp set onto Neenah Desery Storm cardstock using my Misti tool. I stamped with Versamark ink so that the image would just be a very light watermark. This is what makes the no-line coloring technique possible.

I coloring in the image using my Prismacolor pencils. Once the coloring was done I die cut the image out with a circle die. I then glued that circle to a slightly larger circle die cut from white cardstock.

2.jpg

I cut a piece of Slate cardstock to 4.25 x 4.25 and then adhered it to a card base that was also cut to be 4.25 x 4.25. I glued my circle piece to the middle of the card. For my sentiment I embossed one of the stamps from the set onto Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock with Alabaster white embossing powder. I popped the sentiment up onto the card with foam tape.

4.JPG

To finish up the card I added some really simple embellishments. I used two white hearts from Doodlebug and a sequin from the Girl’s Best Friend sequin set from Simon Says Stamp.

1.jpg

I stamped the image on Slate gray cardstock with embossing ink. I then colored it in with Prismacolor pencils.

3.jpg

I blended around the edges of the gray cardstock with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to create a vignette. I embossed the sentiment with Alabaster white embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.

2.jpg

I adhered a piece of Desert Storm cardstock to a card base and then popped up the gray panel onto that with foam tape.

4.jpg

For finishing touches I added details with a white gel pen, some Wink of Stella glitter, and a border around the Slate cardstock edge.
