Little Boy Dinosaur Card | My Favorite Things

Hello my friends! Today I am sharing a card I designed for a little boy using the Cutieasaurus stamp set from My Favorite Things.

1.jpg

First I stamped the dinosaurs on Bristol Smooth paper with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink. I colored them in with Arteza Watercolor markers and then fussy cut them out using my Scan N Cut.

2.jpg

I taped the Mod Stripes stencil from Simon Says Stamp over a piece of 4.5 x 4.5 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I went over the stencil with Ranger Transparent Gloss texture paste. I lifted the stencil white the paste was still wet and set the paper aside to dry.

I picked out a sentiment from the stamp set and embossed it with Alabaster white embossing powder on some Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock. I then created a 5.5 x 5.5 card base and adhered a piece of Gina K Designs Tangerine Twist cardstock to the front. I mounted the textured panel onto a piece of Gina K Designs Sea Glass cardsotck and then popped that whole panel up onto the card base with foam tape.

I arranged the dinosaurs on the card and glued them down using liquid glue and foam tape. I also popped up my sentiment strip above them. I used white gel pen to add highlights to the dinosaurs and went over the sentiment with Wink of Stella. To finish up I added a few sequins and a little blush to the dinosaurs cheeks with a Copic marker.

Rainbows and Unicorns Shaker | My Favorite Things

Hello my crafty friends! Today I am sharing a fuse tool shaker card using some products from My Favorite Things.

1.jpg

I used Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink and the cloud stencil from My Favorite Things to create a cloudy background panel. I then closed that panel up into a shaker pocket with my fuse tool, adding in some sequins from Lucy’s Cards.

3.JPG

I stamped some of the images from the Rainbows and Unicorns stamp set and colored them in with Copics. I also stamped a sentiment from that set onto Cotton Candy cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and embossed it with Alabaster white embossing powder.

2.jpg

I adhered the shaker pocket to an A2 card base with my ATG gun. I then glued the sentiment strip and the rainbow image along the bottom of the card. I die cut some clouds out of vellum and placed them above the sentiment. I glued the unicorn down over the clouds and onto the card.

4.JPG

To finish up this card I added some highlights to the images with a white gel pen. I then went over all of the clouds with my Wink of Stella glitter brush.

Shaker Valentine with Distress Oxide Background

Hello my crafty friends! Today I created a Valentine’s Day shaker card with a Distress Oxide Ink background using some really pretty colors.

1.jpg

I die cut a large circle from a piece of Bristol Smooth paper. I blended with the colors Spun Sugar, Abandoned Coral, and Seedless Preserves. I used this piece for the background on my shaker.

3.jpg

I stamped the large heart from the Ornate Love stamp set from Simon Says Stamp on some vellum with Versamark ink. I embossed that with Alabaster embossing powder. I fussy cut the heart and glued it to the front of my shaker.

2.jpg

I created a 5.5 x 5.5 card base and glued a piece of Bubblegum cardstock to the front. I then glued a slightly smalled piece of Plum Punch cardstock to that. I used my ATG to glue the shaker piece to the card. I used Gina K Connect glue to add silver bakers twine around the edge of the Plum Punch cardstock.

4.jpg

I stamped a sentiment from the Greetings Galore stamp set from My Favorite Things with Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. I embossed that with Icicle clear embossing powder. I popped the sentiment onto the card and went over it with Wink of Stella glitter.

Secret Santa Shaker Card | My Favorite Things

Today I created a fun shaker card using the Secret Santa stamp set from My Favorite Things.

2.jpg

I started out by stamping a TON of the images from the stamp set onto a piece of Neenah solar white cardstock with Gina K Amalgam ink. I colored in the imaged with my Copic markers. Check out the video for all of the coloring details! After the coloring was done I used my Scan N Cut to cut out all of the images.

3.jpg

I took two pieces of A2 size cardstock to start creating my shaker. On one of them I glued a piece of Gina K Cherry Red cardstock to the upper half. The red cardstock will become the background of my shaker. For the other A2 piece I cut a square window out of the top. I glued a piece of acetate to the window and then created my shaker area with some doubled up foam tape. I added a lot of red sequins and closed up the shaker with the other piece of A2 size cardstock. I glued the shaker panel onto an A@ size card base and then glued the tree and presents down.

4.jpg

I thought the outside looked really good and didn’t need anything else so I stamped one of the sentiments from the set on the inside of my card instead. I had to use a block to do the stamping because the card wouldn’t fit into my MISTI at this point. I was really careful and stamped it with Gina K Amalgam ink. Next I added the two little children that I had colored in to the inside flap of the card. I used a white gel pen to add details and highlights to all of the colored in images.

1.jpg

I decided to go all out and decorate the back of the card as well. I stamped the little plate of cookies stamp on the lower half of the page. I used my Copic multi-liner to add some wavy heat lines about the cookies so they look nice and hot. I didn’t want to color the cookies with my Copics because if they bled through the paper you would see it on the inside of the card. So instead I used a few of my Arteza Real Brush Pens for the coloring. I used the colors Ginger and Tawny for the cookies and Dolphin Gray for the plate.

Which Way is the Candy Halloween Card

For today's card I used the Witch Way is the Candy stamp set from My Favorite Things.

1.jpg

I started by stamping four of the images from from the stamp set onto some Bristol Smooth paper with Simon Says Stamp intense black ink. I colored them in using my Arteza Real Brush Pens. Check out the video to see the coloring in detail. Once the coloring was done I fussy cut the images out with my scissors.

3.jpg

Next I taped a piece of Bristol Smooth paper to a board to create a background. I made sure to lay down the tape so that it was flush with the paper edges so that I had nice straight lines and an even boarder all the way around. I then blended two colors of Distress Oxide ink on the paper to make my background. I used the colors Wilted Violet and Black Soot.

4.jpg

I popped my background up onto a card base with foam tape. I then glued down my colored in images using Tombow Glue and Foam tape.  I created a sentiment for my card using a stamp from the set which says "A Halloween Hello." I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on black card stock. I cut that down to a strip and popped it up on my card.

2.jpg

For the finishing touches I went over the sentiment and the witch's hat and cape with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. I added highlights to the images with a white gel pen. Finally I added two different sized of silver star sequins with my Tombow glue.
