Remaking my First YouTube Card | YouTube Channel Anniversary

Today I am recreating the first card design that I did on my YouTube channel to celebrate the one year anniversary of my channel.

I stamped a few of the images from the Book Worm stamp set on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Gina K Amalgam ink. I colored them in with my Copic markers and then cut them out with my Scan N Cut 2.

I used the large bookmark die from the Bookmark It die set from Mama Elephant to cut a bookmark out of Midnight cardstock from Brutus Monroe. I then stamped some of the images from the Book Worm stamp set and the Good Reads stamp set onto that bookmark as well as a panel of A2 size Midnight cardstock with Versamark ink. I then took that A2 panel and glued it to a card base.

I die cut a large circle out of white cardstock and then stamped a row of books across it with Simon Says Stamp Fog ink. I also stamped a sentiment above that row of books from the Good Reads stamp set.

I stamped the “This book belongs to” label onto some white cardstock and cut it down to a strip. I glued that label onto my bookmark along with a stack of books and the bookworm. I then added some silver twine to the top of the bookmark.

Next I took the circle die cut and popped it up on my card with foam tape being careful to leave a space for the bookmark to slide in behind it. I glued the row of colored in books in front of long row of books with Gina K Connect glue. I then popped the dog up in front of those books with foam tape.

Using a white gel pen I added highlights to all of the colored in images. I then colored in the background of the circle die cut with a few light gray Copics. Finally I added a silver glossy heart sticker under the sentiment.

Masculine Birthday Card | Simon Says Stamp Birthday Numbers

Hello my friends! Today I am sharing a masculine birthday card design featuring some products from Simon Says Stamp.

11.jpg

I stamped the Plank background stamp onto a piece of Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed it with Icicle embossing powder. Next I blended some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink along the edges.

13.jpg

I stamped the two numbers from the Birthday Numbers stamp set onto some black cardstock and embossed them with Alabaster embossing powder. I also stamped two sentiments from the set onto Gina K Designs In The Navy cardstock and embossed them in white as well.

12.jpg

I popped up my background on a black card base with foam tape. I glued the two numbers together so that they were a little bit offset. I adhered that to the card with foam tape as well. Next I took the two sentiments that I created and cut them into strips and popped them up on the card.

14.jpg

I added a fun mix of sequins to the card with Gina K Connect glue. Then I went over the sentiments and the numbers with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. To finish up the card I used a white Prismacolor pencil to add some shading to the numbers.

Father's Day Card for a New Dad

If you saw my post on Monday you will know that my little brother's wife just had a baby girl. So I wanted to make him a father's day card. This will be his first father's day.

I usually really struggle making masculine cards, but I was quite happy with this one. To start this card I took a piece of kraft cardstock and put it through my Big Shot in an embossing folder to give it a wood grain texture. I then used a die to cut a small circle out of that.

157.JPG

I took the stamp set "Mom and Me" by Lawn Fawn, which is typically used for Mother's Day, and I stamped the small image of the two foxes. I stamped them on Bristol Smooth paper using my Simon Say's Stamp Intense Black ink. I then colored them in with my Arteza Real Brush Pens. I tried to color them to have the adult fox be a dad fox and the little baby fox be a baby girl.

158.JPG

I used some Distress Oxide ink to add some color to the background where the circle goes onto the card base. I did a layer of Twisted Citron and then stamped some grass in Lucky Clover and Evergreen Bough. The grass stamps are in the same stamp set as the foxes. I then very lightly blended the Lucky Clover in from the bottom. I also used a dark green Arteza marker to add a little more grass on the bottom.

I used a brush with clean water to add a little bit of a bokeh effect to the background. The sentiment for this card comes from the Hero Arts stamp set "Celebrate Everyday." I heat embossed it in a white embossing powder. To finish this card up I went around the edge with a green marker with some dashed lines.
