Purr-fect Trio of Cats | My Favorite Things

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing another tall card using the Purr-fect stamp set from My Favorite Things.

1.jpg

I started by creating the windowed panel using the oval die from the Magic Color Slider die set from Lawn Fawn. I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar white cardstock for this panel. I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I stamped the three cat images from the stamp set onto another piece of Neenah with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam ink. I colored them in with Copic markers and then cut them out the my Scan N cut.

Next I created some backgrounds for each other the three cats using some scrap cardstock. The cardstocks I used were Peacock and Green Apple from Simon Says Stamp and In the Navy from Gina K Designs. I used the Diagonal Stripes stencil from Simon Says Stamp and the Mini Staggered Circles stencil from My Favorite Things to blend a pattern onto each of the three backgrounds. The inks that I used from blending are Blue Lagoon, In the Navy, and Wild Dandelion from Gina K.

I added foam tape to the back of the windowed panel and then added each of the three background I made to the three windows. I then adhered the entire panel to a 9x4 card base. I took the three cats that I had colored and glued them to the inside of each of the three windows with Gina K Connect Glue.

To finish the card up I used a white gel pen to add some highlights on each of the cats noses. I also used Glossy Accents on the cat eyes to make them nice and shiny.

Sweater Weather Shaker Card | Simon Says Stamp

Today I created a fun winter shaker card with the Right Meow stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

2.jpg

I started out with a piece of Gina K In the Navy cardstock. I prepped it with my powder tool for embossing and then taped down a snowflake stencil from Brutus Monroe over the top of it. I smooshed some embossing ink across the stencil onto the cardstock. I embossed the snowflakes with a clear embossing powder. I used an ink blender with some Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink to add a little bit of a spotlight to the middle of the paper. I also added some Black Soot Distess Oxide ink to the edges to create a nice vignette.

3.jpg

To create the shaker area on the card I first took two circle dies and cut a ring out of some white cardstock. I glued a piece of acetate to the ring to make a window. Next I took doubled up foam tape and placed it all the way around the ring. I added some clear large glitter to the card and closed it up with the shaker window. To give the shaker circle a snowy frosty look I took Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste and dabbed it around the edge of the circle. I love the look that this created!

I stamped the little kitty cat in the sweater from the Right Meow stamp set onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I did some very quick and easy Copic coloring on the cat and cut it out with my Scan N Cut. I glued the cat to the shaker window. I used a white gel pen to add polka dots to the sweater on the cat.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of In the Navy cardstock with embossing ink and embossed it with a white embossing powder. I blended a little Black Soot Distress Oxide ink on the edges of the sentiment to give it a little interest. I glued the sentiment strip onto a slightly bigger piece of vellum so there is a small border around the edge. Next I popped the sentiment up on the card with foam tape. Finally, I used my Wink of Stella glitter brush to add some sparkle to the sentiment.

Supplies

Texture Paste Rainbow - Catitude

For today's card I used texture paste dyed with Distress Oxide ink and the Catitude stamp set by Pink and Main.

1.jpg

I started out by taping a piece of Canson watercolor paper to a board. I then taped a polka dot stencil over the top of that. I mixed up texture paste with a bunch of different colors of Distress Oxide ink and spread it over the stencil in rainbow order. The colors I used are Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet.

3.jpg

Next I took a circle of Bristol Smooth paper (die cut out with Hero Arts Infinity Circle dies) and stamped a cat and sentiment from the Catitude stamp set on it. I colored in the cat using my Arteza Real Brush Pens. The colors I used are Smoke Gray, Ash Black, Dolphin Gray, and Bubblegum Pink.

4.jpg

I used my ATG gun to tape a piece of black cardstock to an A2 size card base. Then I taped down the texture paste panel leaving the black cardstock showing along the left side of the card. I die cut another circle one size larger out of some black cardstock and taped my cat circle to that so it had a nice black border. I popped up the circle piece to the texture paste panel with some foam tape.

2.jpg

I cut a long piece of black and white twine and wrapped it around the black edge three times and tied it in a bow. Finally I used my Wink of Stella glitter brush on the black circle border and every little texture paste dot making them all sparkly.

Pink and Main Catitude Window Card

For today's card I used the new Catitude stamp set from Pink and Main. I colored in the cats with Arteza Real Brush Pens and the background has Distress Oxide Ink blending.

1.jpg

First I used a T-square ruler to help place a small square die on a piece of 6 x 6 paper to make four windows. Eventually I trimmed this piece down to be 5.5 x 5.5.

2.jpg

I stamped some of the cats from the Pink and Main stamp set 'Catitude' on Bristol Smooth paper. I colored them in with my Atreza Real Brush Pens. For the orange cats I used the colors orange and punch pink. For the blue cat I used Night Sky Blue and Parma Gray. For the gray cat I used Dolphin Gray and Elephant Gray. For the purple cat I used Thistle Purple. I used Bubblegum Pink on all the ears and for blush. Finally I used a white gel pen to add some hightlights.

3.jpg

For the background behind the windows I blended some Distress Oxide Ink on Bristol Smooth paper. I used Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans. The card base that I used is 6 x 6. I popped up with window frame with foam tape and also popped up the cats in the four windows. I heat embossed the sentiment "What's mew?" on a strip of black paper and popped that up in one of the windows.

For the finishing touches I added Wink of Stella glitter to the sentiment strip. I also added some dashed lines around each window with a Paper Mate pen. Lastly I added just three silver sequins.
