Circular Stenciled Valentine | Brutus Monroe

Hey crafty people! Today I have a circular card design using some products from Brutus Monroe.

1.jpg

I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth paper taped down to a board. I then did some Distress Oxide ink blending on it with the colors Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. Next I placed a stencil over it and taped it down. The stencil is called Elegant Egg and it is the stencil of the month from Brutus Monroe. I used the colors Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry to blend the stencil design onto my paper.

2.jpg

Once the blending was done I used a palette knife to go over the stencil with some Glitter Glaze. I used the color Fallen Snow, which is a really sparkly clear texture paste. Once that was nice and smoothed out I carefully lifted the stencil while the glaze was still wet and set the paper aside to dry.

Once the glaze finished drying I used a large circle die to cut it. I then took a slightly larger circle die and created a circular card base. I picked out a sentiment from the Love Bug stamp set and embossed it with white on black card stock. I then fussy cut the sentiment with scissors and popped it up on the card.

To finish up the card I added a few sequins and then I went over the sentiment with Wink of Stella.

Sweet Carousel Shaker Card | Pink & Main

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a really fun and sparkly shaker card.

1.jpg

I stamped the adorable unicorn from the Sweet Carousel stamp set by Pink & Main onto Bristol Smooth paper and then colored it in with Arteza watercolor markers. I used the coordinating die to cut the unicorn out using my Big Shot.

3.JPG

Next I took an A2 size panel of white cardstock and cut a square out of it. I glued a piece of acetate to the back to make a window. Using foam tape I went around that window and then filled the space with large clear glitter. I closed up the shaker with a piece of light pink cardstock.

2.jpg

I took the unicorn that I colored in a glued it in the middle of the shaker window. I then glued the whole panel to an A2 size card base.

4.JPG

For the sentiment I picked out a stamp from the Sweet Carousel stamp set and stamped it onto dark gray cardstock with embossing ink. I embossed it with white embossing powder and then popped it up in my card.

Shining, Shimmering, Splendid Blog Hop | Brutus Monroe

Hello my friends! It’s Wednesday, which means another Brutus Monroe blog hop! Today’s theme is “Shining, Shimmering, Splendid” so we are bringing on all the sparkle!

1.jpg

I decided to keep my card design monochromatic. I used one of the Brutus Monroe toner sheets and foiled it with Pewter Deco Foil using my laminator. Next I used a circle die to cut a circle from that panel. I added a piece of acetate to the back to make my shaker window.

2.jpg

I added foam tape around the window to create my shaker area. I filled it with black and pewter colored sequins. I used a black piece of cardstock for the backing on the shaker. I adhered the shaker panel onto a panel of black Glitterstock and then glued that to an A2 card base.

3.JPG

For the sentiment I stamped the “You’re Awesome” from the Super Sentimental stamp set and embossed it with Sterling embossing powder. I cut it out with a small circle die and adhered it to the middle of the shaker window.

Dinosaur Valentine's Day Card | My Favorite Things

Today I created a really adorable valentine using the Cutieasaurus stamp set from My Favorite Things.

5.jpg

I stamped the images from the set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Gina K Amalgam ink. I colored in the images with Copic markers and cut them out using my Scan N Cut. I then cut a heart shape from another panel of Neenah using the Scan N Cut.

7.jpg

I glued the images around the heart cut out with Gina K Connect glue. I then added a piece of acetate to the back to make my shaker window. I created a background using two colors of Distress Oxide Ink (Abandoned Coral, Spun Sugar). I used foam tape to make a shaker area and filled it with Coconut Ice sequins from Lucy’s Cards. I then closed up the shaker and cut off any excess paper from the background. I took that entire panel and adhered it to an A2 card base.

6.jpg

For my sentiment I stamped the “You’re a Cutieasaurus” onto Simon Says Stamp Slate cardstock with Versamark ink and then embossed it with Alabaster white embossing powder. I cut a slanted edge on one side of the sentiment strip and then glued it to my card.

8.jpg

For the finishing touches I added a few sequins from the Simon Says Stamp Girl’s Best Friend sequin mix around the sentiment. I then went over the clouds with Wink of Stella. Finally I added some highlights to the images with a white gel pen.

Birthday Shaker Card | Mama Elephant

Today I am sharing an adorable birthday card using the Stackable Cuties stamp set from Mama Elephant.

13.jpg

I stamped all of the animals from the stamp set onto Bristol Smooth paper. I colored them in with Arteza markers and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used a white gel pen to add some highlights to the critters.

15.jpg

I used a small circle die to cut nine circles from a panel of white cardstock. I glued one of the animals in each of those windows. I added some acetate to the back and then went around each window with foam tape to make shaker areas.

14.jpg

I added large clear glitter to each shaker area and closed up the whole thing with Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. I glued the shaker panel to a Neenah Desert Storm card base.

16.jpg

I stamped one of the chat bubble sentiments with Simon Says Stamp intense black ink and fussy cut it out. I glued it about the bear on the card so it looks like he is saying “Happy B-day.”
