Creating an Ocean Themed Frame | Seahorse Background

Today I created an ocean themed card using the new Seahorse Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp!

I started by stamping the Seahorse Background onto a panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Fog ink from Simon Says Stamp. Next I took out the Beautiful Mermaids stamp set (also from SSS) , stamped a sentiment onto the panel and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I repeatedly stamped the smaller stamps from the Beautiful Mermaids set onto some Bristol Smooth paper with Versamark ink and then embossed with with white embossing powder. I blended over the embossed images with lots of different colors of Distress Oxide ink and then cut them out with my Scan N Cut 2.

Using the Hero Arts nested circle die set I created a frame out of white cardstock. I then adhered a bunch of the colorful images that I cut out to the back of the frame to create my ocean themed wreath. I used the panel of cardstock that I cut the frame from as a stencil to blend some Gina K Designs Ocean Mist ink onto my background panel.

I popped up the frame onto the background with foam tape and added some sequins all around the inner edge. To finish the card I glued the panel onto a card base.
