My Husband Makes Me a Birthday Card!

Today my husband took over and made me a birthday card!

First he took a piece of Bristol Smooth paper and added strips of washi tape across it. He then blended each section with a different color of Distress Oxide ink. He used the colors Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Lucky Clover, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet. He then laid out a bunch of the sentiments from the Tiny Words stamp set from Simon Says Stamp along the white stripes created by the washi tape and stamped them with the Misti Tool using a gray ink.

Next he picked out the numbers 3 and 1 from the Birthday Numbers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and also the happy birthday sentiment from the Greetings Galore stamp set from My Favorite Things. He embossed them with white embossing powder on Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock.

He stamped the balloons from the Birthday Numbers stamp set onto some Neenah Solar white cardstock with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink. He colored those in with Copic markers. He used the Scan N Cut 2 in order to cut out all of the stamped images.

To put the card together he first glued the background panel to an A2 size card base. He used liquid glue to adhere the balloons and foam tape to pop up the numbers and the sentiment. To finish up he went over the balloons with Glossy Accents.
