Today I created a card while on vacation using minimal supplies. Check out the video to see what supplies I brought with me on my vacation and how I packed them!
I started out by stamping a bunch of the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock with my MISTI to create a background. I used images from the Mama Elephant stamp sets Cool Penguins, Oh Kitty Tree, and Yappy Woofmas. I then stamped one of the penguins from the Cool Penguins stamp set and a sentiment onto another piece of Neenah and set it aside for later.
I colored in the background on the panel of stamped images with my N0 Copic marker. I then colored in the images I stamped with R29, R46, YG03, YG67, and Y19. I used one of my gray Copic markers to add dots to the background. Next I colored in the penguin. See the video for more details on the coloring. Once the penguin was colored I fussy cut it out with scissors.
I used my R29 and colored over some of the Neenah card stock to create my own red paper. I then adhered my sentiment strip to this paper to give it a red border. I took the background I created and glued it to a card base. Then I popped the sentiment up on the background. I created a square using the grid paper in my MISTI to for measuring and colored the border of the square with a gray Copic marker. I popped that square up on the card and then popped the penguin onto that.
For the finishing touches on the card I added some dots and stripes to some of the presents with my white gel pen. I also added some highlights on the penguin. I then added dots to the background with the gel pen. Finally I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen to add glitter to the border around the sentiment on the square behind the penguin.
