Floral Window Card - Simon's August Card Kit

For today's card I used the stamp set and the enamel stickers from the August Simon Says Stamp card kit.

I started by taking a piece of card stock and die cutting four different size squares across it. Then I took a piece of Bristol Smooth paper that was cut to the same size and lined it up with the die cut paper. Using a pencil I traced the square cut outs with a pencil. Next I took the Mandy's Flowers stamp set and stamps some of the floral images onto the Bristol smooth paper with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink. I made sure that everything I wanted to show from the stamps was stamped within the penciled in squares.

I used my Arteza Real Brush pens to color in the stamped areas. I used the colors Rouge Red, Flamingo Pink, Lemon Yellow, Honey, and Bright Green for the flowers. For the background behind the flowers I used the colors Seafoam Green and Fresh Green. The colors that I chose for the coloring were inspired by the heart puffy stickers in the August kit. Using a white gel pen I added some white dots to the background and some highlights to the flowers.

Once the coloring was done I taped the die cut window piece on top of the Bristol Smooth piece with the coloring using my ATG gun. The square die cuts frame the stamped and colored images. Next I glued a piece of dark gray cardstock to a card base. The gray piece is slightly smaller than the base so there is a little bit of a white border. Then I popped up my window panel onto the base with foam tape.

For the sentiment I chose the stamp which says "picked with love." I heat embossed it onto some black cardstock with white embossing powder. I popped up the sentiment strip with some foam tape. For finishing touches I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the sentiment strip and some heart puffy stickers.
