Simple Card Design - Distress Oxide Rainbow Circles + Giveaway Winner

For today's card I used Distress Oxide Ink and a whole bunch of circle dies. I wanted to make something simple and clean that could be recreated easily in different ways.

I started out by blending some Distress Oxide ink onto a panel of Bristol Smooth paper. I used the colors Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber, and Salty Ocean. When you blend these three colors the in-between colors that they give you help to make the rest of the rainbow.

Next I took out another panel of Bristol Smooth paper and my Hero Arts circle nesting dies. I cut out a whole bunch of different size circles. When I placed my dies for cutting I always placed two circles together that were similar in size so that I would get a think arch from the cut.

Once I had all of the die cutting done I started to place the pieced together like a puzzle. I popped up the pieces onto my blended panel using some foam tape. I did't pop up all of the piece though, I skipped the thin arches that were cut out so that you can see through to the colorful blended background in those areas.

For my sentiment I pulled out the Simple Sentiments No. 1 stamp set by Cathy Zielske. I love her stamp sets because they are so unique. The stamp that I used says "You're a stellar human." I stamped this with Versamark ink onto some black card stock and then heat embossed it with a white embossing powder. I popped up my sentiment strip with foam tape on my card. To finish up my card I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the sentiment strip and a few different sizes of clear sequins to the background.
