For today's card I used the stamp set from Simon Says Stamp's August card kit and my Arteza Real Brush Pens.
I started out by stamping the three floral images onto some Bristol Smooth paper with Versmark ink. I embossed these stamps with a white embossing powder. Next I colored in all of the images with my Arteza markers. I used a lot of colors on these images, if you want to know the colors I used I would recommend checking out the video. In the video I go over all of the coloring in detail. Once the coloring was done I fussy cut the three images out with my scissors.
Next I took a piece of 6x6 Canson watercolor paper and taper it to a board. I used a pencil to make guide line for where I placed my painters tape so that I would have a straight even border all around the square. I took my Elephant Gray Arteza marker and scribbled it onto a palette so that I could paint with it with a paint brush. I filled in the square that I created with my painters tape with the gray color. I also added some flicks of the gray paint.
Once the paint was totally dry I removed the tape and erased my pencil lines. I cut a quarter of an inch off of each side so that when I popped the panel on my 6x6 base with foam tape there was a little bit of a border. Next I popped up the floral images on the watercolor square.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set as the floral images onto some vellum with a white embossing powder. In order to adhere the sentiment strip and not have any adhesive showing through I wrapped one side around the watercolor panel and I also added dabs of glue under the flowers where the vellum is touching. To finish up the card I added some clear sequins and I added a dot of glossy accents to the center of each sequin.
