Mama Elephant Book Worm Card

For today card I used the Book Worm and the Good Reads stamp sets from Mama Elephant and my Arteza Real Brush Pens.

I stamped a bunch of the images from the Book Worm stamp set onto some Bristol Smooth paper with Simon Says Stamp intense black ink. I colored them in using my Arteza Real Brush Pens and blended the color with my Tim Holtz waterbrush. For the books I used the colors Rouge Pink, Red, Honey, Bumblebee Yellow, Bright Green, Cyanine Blue, Royal Blue, and Orchid Purple. For the Pig I used Rouge Pink and Apricot. For the cute little bunny I used Ginger. And for the car I used Dolphin Gray, Elephant Gray, and Ash Black. I fussy cut all of the images out with my scissors.

I stamped the background pattern using stamps from the Book Work set on some Bristol Smooth paper. I stamped them with Simon Says Stamp fog ink. I also used the heart stamps from the Good Reads stamp set to fill in the white space. I glued a piece of kraft cardstock to an A2 card base and then glued my pattern panel to that. Then I arranged all of my colored in images on that creating a little scene.

I embossed a sentiment from the Good Reads stamp set which says "you're tops in my book." I embossed it on black card stock with a white embossing powder. I popped up the sentiment with some foam tape on the side of my card. Next I took a silver paint marker and added dash lines around the border of the patterned panel.

Using a a few Prismacolor pencils (PC1069 + PC1072) I added some shading under my images to ground my scene. For the finishing touched I went over the sentiment with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. I also added a few clear sequins and went over the glasses on the cat with Glossy Accents.
