Flamingo Card and Gansai Tambi Swatching - Simon's July Card Kit

For today's card I created a watercolor background with my Gansai Tambi water colors and I used the Simon Says Stamp July 2018 card kit.

Before getting into the card I want to talk a little bit about the Gansai Tambi watercolors. I still love them and think they are awesome but I have noticed that there seem to be two different sets of color names out there. So some people have one list of colors and other people have completely different color names even though the paint colors are the same.

So I did some research and I found all the alternate names for the colors that I have and I created a color chart with both names. I also was sure to put the color number on each swatch. Unlike the names, the color numbers appear to always be the same.
I know a few of my viewers on YouTube wanted to follow along with me painting and they were struggling because there colors were named differently so I hope this can help!

To start this card I taped a piece of Canson watercolor paper to a board. I then did some very relaxing watercoloring. I used (from right to left) No. 66 Prussian Blue, No. 62 Turquoise Blue, No. 50 Malachite, and No. 57 Turquoise Green Deep.

I stamped the flamingo from the kit's stamp set using Simon Says Stamp intense black ink on Bristol Smooth paper. I colored the flamingo in using my Arteza Real Brush pens. I used the colors flamingo pink and fuchsia for the body and a little black on the beak. I used the coordinating die from the Simon kit to cut out the flamingo once the coloring was done.

I used a silver embossing powder to emboss the sentiment for the card. I chose the stamp which says "be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons." I cut the sentiment panel to be 2.75 x 4. I adhered the sentiment panel to a 3.25 x 4.5 piece of vellum. I glued the watercolor background that I created earlier to a card base and then popped up the sentiment panel on that with some foam tape. To finish up this card I added some dashed lines, some silver sequins, and a little bit of Wink of Stella glitter to the flamingo.
