Alcohol Ink Tips and Techniques - Day 3

It is the third day of my alcohol ink series and today I played around a lot with texture.

For the first background that I created I taped my piece of Yupo paper to a board. I did this so that I could hold the board at an angle and let the ink drip down the paper. I really love the way this technique looks. I think it is my favorite so far!

For the second background I attempted to do some alcohol ink smooshing, but that ended up not working out so well. So instead I thought I would see what kind of texture I could create using a large paintbrush.

I really liked the texture that was created on this background, and with these colors I thought was really reminded of the ocean. I used the Mermazing stamp set by My Favorite Things to stamp the sentiment and some sea shells on the white panel. It is a little hard to make out the shells in the photos, this is because I used Versamark ink. I wanted the shells to be really subtile, so I just stamped them like a watermark.
