Mother's Day Wreath Card

I thought I would get started a little early this year on the mother's day cards that I need to get done. For this card I used a floral wreath stamp. This stamp is no longer available, but if you wanted to make something similar all you need are some floral stamps. Use something to draw a circle on your paper, for example you could trace a circle die. Then just use that circle as a guide to stamp your different floral stamps to create a unique wreath.

I heat embossed the wreath using a gold embossing powder. Then I pulled out my Reeves watercolors to paint the background and the wreath. I stuck with a simple color palette of just three colors, yellow, pink, and a sea green.

I die cut a circle for the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts stamp set "Celebrate Everyday" and it says "Happy Mother's Day." I heat embossed this in gold just like the wreath. For some finishing touches I added dashed lines and sequins. I will probably give this card to my grandmother. Both my mother and my mother-in-law watch my YouTube videos so I haven't decided if I will make a video of their cards. I don't really want to spoil it for them!
