Pineapple Colored Pencil Card - Simon's July Card Kit

For today's card I used the Simon Says Stamp July 2018 card kit as well as my Prismacolor pencils.

I started out this card with a piece of kraft cardstock. I prepped the paper with my powder tool for embossing. I repeatedly stamped the image of the pineapple (from the stamp set in the July kit) all across the panel in Versamark ink. I heat embossed the pineapples in white.

I pulled out my Prismacolor pencils to color in the pineapples. I like to go over the pineapples with my white pencil first and then use my colors on top of that. I find that it makes the colors really bright and kind of pop. For the yellow portion of the pineapple I used the colors PC 1003 and PC 943. For the green sections I used PC 912 and PC 908. When the coloring was done I used a white gel pen to add dashed lines round the border.

For the sentiment I embossed the stamp which says "you're one cool pineapple" in a white embossing powder on a strip of vellum. In order to hide the adhesive on the vellum, I folded the ends of the strip around the kraft cardstock panel and glued the ends to the back. I also added dashed lines along the top and bottom of the vellum.

I adhered a piece of Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf cardstock to my card base and the popped up my kraft panel with some foam tape. To finish up I added mixture of different size clear sequins across the card using my Tombow glue. I also added a dot of Glossy Accents to the cup of each sequin.
