Snow Much Thanks Distress Oxide Background | Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone, today I have a card that I made using the stamp set from Simon Says Stamps January card kit.

I created the background by blending Distress Oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth paper. I used the colors Black Soot, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Tumbled glass.

I stamped the sentiment and snowflakes on the background with my MISTI tool in embossing ink. First I embossed with Alabaster white embossing powder and then I embossed more snowflakes with Rainbow Sparkle embossing powder.

I stamped the snowman on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Gina K Amalgam ink and then colored it in with Copic markers. I cut him out using my Scan N Cut. I stamped the small thanks sentiment on Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock and embossed it in white. I free-hand cut out the little snowy hill out of some white cardstock and blended a little Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink along the bottom edge to give it some shading.

I adhered the background to an A2 size card base with my ATG gun. Next I glued down the snowy hill and the snowman on top of that. I popped up the tiny Thanks sentiment with some foam tape. I went over the sentiment strip and some of the snowman with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. I also added some highlights to the snowman with a white gel pen. To finish up the card I added some sequins.
