Nativity Scene Christmas Card | Colorado Craft Company

Hello my friends! Today I have a nativity scene card that I created with a beautiful stamp set from Colorado Craft Company.

I started this card by creating my background. I taped a piece of Canson watercolor paper to a board to do some Distress Oxide ink blending. I used the colors Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Black Soot to make a sky. I sprinkled some white paint onto the sky to make some stars, but then I changed my mind and blended some more ink over that.

I stamped the little baby Jesus stamp from the Bethlehem’s Light stamp set from Colorado Craft Company. I stamped it in Gina K Amalgam ink onto some Bristol Smooth paper. I colored in the image with my Arteza watercolor markers. Once the coloring was finished I fussy cut the image out with some scissors.

Using a large circle die I cut a window out of a 6 x 6 piece of Bristol Smooth paper. I glued the baby Jesus image to the bottom of that panel so that it shows through the window. Next I took one of the star stamps from the set and heat embossed it on the sky background with white embossing powder. I added a bunch of foam tape to the window panel and adhered it to the blended sky panel. I then took the whole thing and glued it to a 6 x 6 card base. Using a white gel pen I added a bunch of stars to the sky.

For the sentiment on this card I stamped onto some Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock and embossing with Alabaster white embossing powder. I glued the sentiment onto the side of the card with my ATG gun and some foam tape. To finish up the card I went over the sentiment with my Wink of Stella glitter brush. I also added a little sparkle to the large star.
